DevOps Engineer – San Francisco

Back 4 Good – Your Future in San Francisco is working on behalf of a rapidly expanding global technology client to recruit experienced DevOps Engineers. Our client is investing heavily in cloud infrastructure and automation and is looking for talented professionals who can help build, deploy, and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable cloud environments.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with software development, infrastructure, and security teams to streamline deployment processes, improve system reliability, and support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). You will play a key role in automating infrastructure, monitoring application performance, and ensuring cloud platforms operate efficiently with minimal downtime.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with leading DevOps technologies including Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, AWS CloudFormation, or Salt. Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or TeamCity is essential. You should also possess strong Linux administration skills, including shell scripting, user management, permissions, and system performance optimisation.

Applicants should have a solid understanding of cloud security principles, networking concepts, and infrastructure automation. Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A minimum of two years’ commercial DevOps or cloud engineering experience is preferred.
