As a Patient Care Technician, you will work directly with patients undergoing dialysis treatment, providing essential support before, during, and after each session. You will play a key role in ensuring patients receive safe, comfortable, and effective care while helping to create a positive clinical environment. Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development will be provided before you begin your role, allowing you to develop the knowledge and confidence required to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, one-to-one patient care throughout dialysis treatment.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment, recording vital signs and patient observations.
  • Prepare and operate dialysis equipment in accordance with clinical protocols and safety standards.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with patients by providing compassionate, respectful, and professional care.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, technicians, dietitians, social workers, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring compliance with infection control, health and safety, and quality standards.
  • Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the dialysis clinic.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, together with a genuine commitment to patient care and excellent interpersonal skills. Successful candidates will be reliable, flexible, and willing to work early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as required. Typical schedules consist of three 12-hour shifts per week, with some shifts commencing as early as 4:45 a.m.

Previous healthcare experience is welcomed but not essential, as full training is provided. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
